I'm looking at beginning to make music myself. I want to compose my own product and also sing. I love five finger fatality punch's cover of Gone Ameans by the offspring, I do choose the original song also, I love the offspring. I'm simply wondering why everyone appears to hate that song or five finger in general? If I were to make my own music and also sing like they execute, or comparable to exactly how disturbed covers the sound of silence near the finish of the song, would everyone shit on that too? Do human being hate 5 finger bereason of the reality that they cover other's songs or that they truly cant sing?

Given that 5FDP's "Way of the Fist" album offered over a million duplicates and also all their albums considering that then sold even even more, plainly not everyone hates Five Finger Death Punch. And Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence is among their the majority of famous songs ever before.

You are watching: Why do people hate five finger death punch

The haters are small, but noisy, team.

Ignore them, make music that you love.

To me, it began as soon as they came to be more mainstream / safer. Their cover of Bad Company kind of was that allude for me. They seem to have actually tried to commercialize a little as well tough, and I think that is part of it. I say this as someone that actually does gain listening to their music and has actually viewed them live a pair times.

shrug they were my favorite band also at one allude (mainly when they debuted on the radio I was just obtaining into harder stuff and also they fit the bill perfectly) I still favor them yet I execute feel prefer their music has lost a small little bit of what it as soon as was, yet I'm not certain if that is just my taste altering or their style.

This is among those inquiries that I don't think you'll ever before uncover a genuine well balanced answer to. You could find a few haters who have rude things to say, however if anyone really doesn't choose them they probably don't treatment enough about them to analyze why. Personally, I don't treatment at all for them and also they're on my perform not play list on Spotify. Why? I dunno. They simply sounds generic AF. I wish I could aid more but... I'm not listening to that mess. Best of luck though.

A few various factors.

Firstly, they obtained really fucking big/mainstream, and also any type of time that happens, you get a small but noisy group of haters.

Secondly, they got a little bit softer or, as someone else put it, safer. Their first album was a fucking facemelter, yet they readjusted a little bit after that...which pissed off many the original fans. So you obtain the "sElLoUt!!!!!!!!!" bullshit going on.

Thirdly, most human being that listen to FFDP...greatly casual fans...tend to pull the totality "yea, I listen to metal" and also point out FFDP as their first example of that. That pisses off a lot of actual metalheads. FFDP haven't been "metal" considering that their debut album. So that introduces the entirety "poser" sentiment...which is much less about hating the band, and also even more around hating the fanbase (yet the band also still catches the backlash).

Fourthly, FFDP is running into the very same shit Hatebreed and also Throwdvery own ran right into for a while....it's perceived as wanna -be "tough guy" music or "bro-metal". Some of that has to do via the fanbase, some of it has to execute through the band itself (their image, his vocals and lyrics, etc.).

Personally, as soon as their debut dropped in 2007, I was instantly hooked. I was less of a fan of shit after that and was kindof let dvery own, though I perform like a couple various other songs (and also I LOVE their cover of "Blue On Black").

I also think that Ivan is an very underrated and talented singer from a pudepend technical perspective...his harsh vox are meh, but his cleans are actually incredibly excellent.
