My nails provided be be brittle and flaky, so I began making use of Nailtiques formula 2 plus and they're now healthy and balanced looking as ever before.

You are watching: Nail polish peels off in one piece

However, I'm wondering if utilizing it as a base coat is part of my peeling problem? I use Seche Vite's quick dry as a optimal coat and also assorted various polishes for color.

Prior to application, I clean up my cuticles, rerelocate any type of nail polish, then I wash my hands through an antibacterial (read non-moisturizing, and also in my situation Dial) hand also soap, and also I've even tried doing a swipe of alcohol over my nails before using a base coat.

After application, I give around 30-45 mins of drying time.

What am I missing here?

Edit: "What am* I doing wrong." I gain excited as soon as keying on my phone.

These are what I can think of to suggest:

*use a great base coat favor Orly Bonder

*let your base coat dry for at least 10 minutes

*make sure you use a few thin coats of polish rather of one thick coat

*make sure you wrap the polish and top coat over the guideline of your nail and also slightly to the undersides

*protect against extremely hot water on your nails for at leastern a day after paint them (no one ever before mentions warm water, and perhaps I'm just a freak, however eincredibly time I've had peeling issues it was after washing dishes in hot water via no gloves).

Constantly running out of nail polish remover

I think that's entirely it! I constantly execute the dishes in hot water, so I'll save that in mind. I don't think the Nailtiques is necessarily a proper/enough base coat either, currently that I've viewed the remainder of the comments below. Thank you SO much!

Everyone right here has some great tips, yet I thought I'd also mention that Seche Vite needs to be applied to wet polish -- once it's put on top of dry polish, it regularly peels. What I do is apply polish to both hands and as soon as I finish the second hand also, go earlier to the initially hand also and also apply the Seche Vite. That method the polish is tacky and the Seche Vite goes on smooth.

NEEDS MOAR GLITTER

If I'm doing deindicators and also my nails are dry, I'll put just an easy layer of clear polish over the dry stuff just to acquire it wet enough for the Seche. Seems to job-related reasonably well!

glitter polish is the devil

I always had a trouble with my polish peeling until I started utilizing a base coat. Even obtaining the cheap Sinful Colors base coat will certainly help a lot.

Purple Alaskan Lefty

What are you utilizing as your base coat? A great sticky base like Orly bonder functions really nicely, its rubberized and adhesive so it really holds everything down. Sold at Sally's and its a huge bottle which is nice. You can perform what I do, and put your treatment dvery own under the basecoat, so that you deserve to still acquire its benefits while making use of a base coat. Now, that said your polish regimales can simply lfinish itself to peeling, yet not as a result of lack of a sticky base, yet because of a still drying later on under the fast drying seche. I discover that if I have many type of layers under my seche I still need to be mindful for a great while so that every layer deserve to collection effectively under every little thing.
